Oh, it's this comp series of new wave/minimal synth I made for all the people I know since I always have difficulty making individual mixes. If you want a copy, lemme know. I'll try to put it on Soulseek as soon as I have enough HD space. My username: inmostcases

Wow! This reads almost exactly like compilations I make for folks.

Good good stuff dude. I guess it's easy to say that since I love all of these tracks as much as you. I haven't heard them all though, but I'm sure the ones I'm unfamiliar with are smokin.

I sent you my address a few days back, btw!

Hey there-

I was pleased to see that someone else had both the homosexuals and 2 live crew listed as interests, so I added you. Out of curiosity, when did you leave Miami?

Hey! It seems like you're into good stuff so I'll add ya back! 2 Live Crew is great. "Get It Girl" is their shining moment in my opinion.

I left Miami when I was 18 to go to college in Chicago. I had lived there since I was 4 and I often go back there still.

rogerlodge/the naughtiest girl was a monitor

(Link)

As I wrote, recorded and produced our single "Front" which was a sad comment of the day that Shakin' Stevens was number 1 at the time, do I win a coconut now that the same thing has happened 24 years later with Tony Christie??!!

John Mayfield.

PS: Thanks for flying the flag...I knew someone would like that track eventually.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my little blog. "Front" is an _amazing_ song. I'm glad you were able to bring forth that nugget of beauty into the world nearly a quarter century ago. I can only hope to do something even slightly similar!

I've never heard of Shakin' Stevens nor Tony Christie before but I just looked at their websites and they seem pretty lame!

Reading over these track listings gives me a distinct deja vu. I downloaded the volumes to get the tracks I didn't contribute. Thanx for filling in the gaps! Do you collect the records or just the MP3s?

Re: Re-compiling my tastes....

(Link)

Thank you so much for having such great taste and sharing it with others! You are indeed _the_ Zolophile. Given my financial situation these past few years, I've mostly been d/ling instead of collecting. Things are looking up now so this might change (although right now I'm thinking of collecting experimental poetry but that's a whole nother matter). I did these comps to share all this great music that I've come across but I've made it clear that it's stuff that I came across on SS. I've mentioned your username as a source for a lot of this and you're even thanked in the txt file of the comp folder . . . anyways, I hope you don't feel weird about stuff you ripped being on this comp series. I just figured that the more people who listen to this, the better. I hope you like the songs on the comps that you haven't heard yet!

WOW! It's amazing how you chose some of the best artists of the time. I downloaded cuz I recognized some bands from the comp "Berlin Super 80". I even added some music- Einstuerzende Neubauten + 3 others all from the berlin underground comp "Als Die Partisanen Kamen" because I didn't like the other songs. BUT, I loved all yours! You can find me under Vernopolis1 in soulseek. Thanks a lot!

Yes, rogerlodge is amazing. I spent my formative years in Redneckville getting bashed for my musical tastes (just couldn't stomach REO/Styx/Benetar)

Never had access to anything like this -- would have changed my life then! (Still does!)

So...anyone care to assist me in finding a single track that all I know about it is I heard it on "Rodney on the Roq" in 1980/81 and the end lyrics are "...and the steps that lead to nowhere / are leading into nowhere..."
